By chance, I discovered a North Shore aloha lifestyle brand shop that has a very similar mission to my own (shelved) lifestyle brand of spreading aloha worldwide. Route 99 Hawai’i’s owner reached out to me on social media asking if I’d like to model a few of their hats and represent them in Southern California. I brought one of their headgear with me on all my work and leisure travels that year and shared product photos. Then while on a visit to Los Angeles, the owner asked if I had time to grab breakfast with her. A conversation developed around what my brand was about and it resulted in collaborating for a small run of product with my old logo.
